I am thrilled that you have signed up for lessons at Matthew’s Cello Studio and trust that your experience will be both educational and FUN! I personally strive to make lessons the very best possible for each and every student that I teach! And I truly hope to foster in each student a lifelong journey in music!
Please login to the student portal and complete your personal profile information, (and that of your child taking lessons). Please include your complete name and address, a profile photo and the birthday of the student. The main feature of the student portal is that it is the FINAL schedule for your lessons, including holidays or changes that may ever occur. The portal is web-based so you may access it from anywhere. For my students who pay me directly the calendar is linked to automatic invoices also! In addition the portal allows you to access any lesson notes given by myself, as well as to log your practice time! Zoom links are also accessed from your calendar.
I recently added the app PRACTICE SPACE for all of my students. This is a free app that can be purchased on all smart devices. It is an extremely fun and engaging tool that students of all ages (I use it myself), can use to track their practice progress and receive points and gems that are awarded for meeting their daily practice targets and also maintaining "practice streaks", (practicing days in a row consecutively)! These points and gems can then be used to receive rewards on the app and in-studio certificates for reaching certain milestones!
